This is what “community over competition” looks like. The wedding industry can feel isolating, exclusive, and cut throat — and honestly I’d agree with that. But it’s not always this way nor does it have to be. Moving to Charlotte has been the best thing I could have done for my business and a large part of that is credited to the relationships I’ve cultivated here. Showing up is worth it and when you find community that encourages, empowers, and supports you, protect it.

Rest

Coming out of a quiet and restful winter season, I feel refreshed for the days ahead. For the past few months I’ve been able to clear my mind and realign myself and reevaluate what’s important for FRAMED moving forward.

I believe the American culture and the wedding industry has conditioned us to believe that we have to be on go all the time but in reality stillness is just as impactful. In fact, it’s necessary. It’s essential. It’s healthy. For me personally, I enjoy my peace and creativity is reawakened when I’m able to drown out the noise.

Being able to show up full of life and with fresh artistry is apart of curating impactful experience from start to finish. It’s not about filling a calendar with business but about moving with intention and protecting the process that is producing success.

Rest isn’t laziness — it’s protection.
