After an afternoon photo adventure, it was time for some well deserved rest. We had driven home under skies marked by drama and contrast. Out one window the clouds hung heavy with rain. Out the other, the sky was bright with white clouds over a field of blue. Many fine images emerge from drama and transition in the skies. Sitting on. my couch, I noticed the sky outside my window glow brighter and brighter. The day's adventures were not over. I took a step outside and was dazzled to find a double rainbow arching neatly over the trees outside my window.
The rainbow hinted at good things to come and motivated me to start walking to the lakeshore. Framed by dark clouds, the sunset shone with a warm intensity that spread outward onto a field of grey. The magic remained low in the sky, but commanded attention. It was the illuminating drama of a slightly raised curtain in a dark room.
Had to move around a bit to capture the right mood. Who would have thought there was a crane hiding just out of view?
