These Naval Aviator Wings are earned . . . and therefore a cause for celebration! It feels like something straight out of a movie getting to witness the military aviation community’s last flight of Advanced Flight Training for fighter jet flight school.

Untold hours are poured into studying and flying—and giving some love to their support system near and far! The job is not an easy one and not many people can do what they do physically or mentally. A lot of people can just see what these pilots do and think: “wow, that looks like a lot of fun!” But a lot of people don’t actually recognize all the hardwork, true grit, and enormous discipline that goes into it. Especially when understanding the sacrifices these pilots have to make daily on the ground at home as well as up in the air.

Military life is intense, there’s no denying that. But these pilots truly love what they do! So before these pilots actually get pinned with their wings of gold at graduation, “Soft Winging” is the last flight a student completes. They are then recognized for their work by getting sprayed with a combination of champagne and a fire hose by their classmates for their Soft Winging.

It’s a sight to see and worth the pop of champagne! ✨✈️🍾

Feeling like a brand new woman with some updated headshots and a little reintroduction 🩵

After my 7 year hiatus with my last post in 2019 before the world shut down for Covid, I may have gone MIA on my socials but my camera never did stop clicking! So welcome to the new name business where I prioritize capturing genuine moments that feel as real as they look. I believe in providing images that feel timeless and that do not just follow trends but preserve a moment in time. My end goal? To provide images you will love just as much in a decade as you do today.

A few facts about me:
✨ I was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC
✨ I graduated from Appalachian State in 2020 (go ‘Neers! 💛🖤)
✨ I studied abroad in Bruges, Belgium for a semester
✨ I’m married to the love of my life and my husband serves in the United States Marine Corps 🦅
✨ We moved four times in our first year of marriage, thank goodness I love to travel!
✨ A crisp Diet Coke or a Dr. Pepper are always my go to
✨ I will never pass up an opportunity to eat some pasta
✨ My editing style is elegant, natural, and true-to-color for that timeless feel
✨ My favorite portraits are the ones where customers keep coming back to capture the new life milestones in their lives
✨ I’ve been in this field for over ten years and only finally decided to really turn it into a business

While I’ve been behind a camera since I was little, my clients have really only ever been friends and family. They’ve trusted me time and time again to capture their moments for them and I’ve finally decided to really start sharing my skills with others!

But to talk about my brand is to talk about my faith because I could never have even started any of this without God’s help. My testimony is that none of this would even be able to come without Him. He is responsible for any talent I may have and I owe it all to Him. My work is for Him.
