Ten years ago, I hopped in a car with three *total strangers* for a random girls photography trip to Charleston..

That’s how I met Chelsey… and she quickly became one of my best friends!🩷

Over the years we’ve worked so many weddings together. And just before our move to Charleston, she photographed my wedding. 💍

During her recent visit, I got to shoot alongside her here in Charleston at the Legare Waring House — watching her work her wedding photography magic. Peep the video of Charleston Local, from !!

Downtown always feels like a Hallmark movie, and I love taking a couple hours each year before Christmas to wander around, soaking up the warm sunshine, festive décor, and all the little holiday moments. I also had to check out the holiday market at American Gardens 🌿 (they even had a carousel 🎠).

Speaking of Hallmark… any favorite movies this year? 🎄 I’ll be playing catch-up this week before they all disappear!

Before I could even say hello, Sweet little Kelsey ran straight up and wrapped me in a hug — my heart just puddled right there on the sidewalk!

I’ve photographed this family four times now, and every session reminds me just how quickly these little years fly— and how grateful I am to get to capture it before it does!

Morgan is pure sunshine—bubbly, joyful & always making sure everyone is having just as much fun as she is. Pete is steady, kind, and the best match for Morgan’s joy!

Their wedding day was nothing short of a dream, with ocean breezes, sun drenched moments, & an appearance of two VIP guests—their sweet pups—who clearly approved of mom & dad’s big day! 🐾🤍

And when kicked off the night? Game over. These two danced the entire night away!

Happy belated Birthday to my beautiful, incredible sister, Hannah! Sunday was such a meaningful day, as she not only celebrated her birthday but also made the choice to be baptized with her fiancé, Jorge.

Their love and faith are so inspiring, especially after such a challenging year. Earlier this year, they endured the heartbreaking loss of their precious baby girl, Hadley, who was diagnosed with a severe form of Turner’s syndrome - she passed away in utero at six months. By fate, Jorge proposed to Hannah on Hadley’s due date (weather made us change the date!), at one of my favorite photo spots in Charleston. He planned everything so carefully, making sure our parents were there all the way from Rockport, Texas, along with my husband, so that we could all be a part of this sweet moment!

Hannah, your strength and grace are beyond words. Watching you and Jorge stand strong in faith and love gives all of us hope. And Jorge - thank you for keeping my baby sister laughing …and for putting up with all her shenanigans 😂.

Here’s to brighter days ahead and the beautiful memories you’re creating together. Love you so much, and so proud of you both. ❤️🙏
