Charleston Fire Department Engine 111 is a 201? Pierce Arrow XT. You’ll notice parts of the engine are labeled E155 as 111 is operating a long term spare while they wait for their new engine.

I’m gonna try and get back to posting weekly! I’ve got some cool stuff coming down the line.

On Scene Sunday: Structure Fire

March 2025, Greenwood City Fire Department with support from Greenwood County Fire Service responded to a fully involved shed, crews worked to quickly extinguish the fire and protect several exposures.

I’d like to apologize for what quickly became a long hiatus, finals kicked my ass, but I’m back and excited to get some really awesome stuff out there!

Members of Northwest Volunteer Fire Department participated in a late night training focused on pump operations and flowing water with some help from Greenwood County Fire Service st. 14 (BlackSheep13Squadron)

On Scene Sunday: Structure Fire

March 2025, Greenwood County Fire Service stations 14, 15 (BlackSheep13Squadron) and Northwest Volunteer Fire Department st. 30 with aid from Greenwood City Fire Department responded to a heavily involved shed fire threatening a home. After a lengthy fight the fire was extinguished with no injuries reported.

Irmo Fire District, (old) Ladder 175

This is the former Ladder 175 kept as a reserve truck at Irmo’s headquarters station. It’s a 2012 Ferrara that served as Irmo’s truck until they got the tiller in 2023.

On Scene Sunday: Structure Fire

March 2025, Greenwood County Fire Service stations 13, 15 (BlackSheep13Squadron) Epworth Phoenix Volunteer Fire/Rescue st. 70, and Highway 34 Vol Fire & Rescue st. 75 with automatic aid from Greenwood City Fire Department responded to a small structure fire that involved nearby brush. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

On Scene Sunday: Structure Fire

March 2025, Greenwood County Fire Service stations 13 and 15 (BlackSheep13Squadron) with aid from Greenwood City Fire Department responded to a fully involved shed fire. Greenwood County EMS treated one patient on scene.

Engine 1 is a 2020 Saber. It operates out of Station 1 alongside Tower 1 and Battalion 1.

On Scene Sunday: Structure Fire

March 2025, Greenwood County Fire Service stations 13, 14, and 15 (BlackSheep13Squadron) Northwest Volunteer Fire Department st. 30 Hodges-Cokesbury Volunteer Fire Department st. 40, and Ware Shoals Fire-Rescue st. 45. Responded to a shed fire, luckily crews on scene were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby house.

Engine 171 is a 2023 Pierce Enforcer, one of two in the fleet.

Special Event Sunday: CAE AirSafe

March 6, 2025, I had the pleasure of photographing the training exercise at Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) The exercise occurs every three years and involves multiple agencies in the area including CAE Public Safety, County of Lexington, SC Fire Service, Lexington County EMS, Lexington County Coroner's Office Lexington County Sheriff's Department, Richland County EMS, and other mutual aid agencies. The exercise also included over 50 students volunteering as victims with makeup and info cards for their injuries.
