Quick photo dump.

It has probably been a decade since gone somewhere and taken few enough pictures to upload the same day. Unfortunately this is also the first year I didn't go to an airshow (or airshow adjacent) since I think 2013. Oh well, maybe next year.

Probably will be the only picture I post this weekend, but was certainly neat to see both teams out shaking hands then signing autographs together after flying.

First show/practice in a while. Starting to get settled into my new place in Charleston, so good timing for the airshow. Got a few pictures from just outside on Wednesday, and watched practice from a little off base Friday. Hoping for good weather for the weekend.

I had the opportunity to see the Blues in their new F/A-18E/F Super Hornets this week during a DET at NAS Jacksonville, I'm unlikely to get through all my pictures before heading to Sun N' Fun mid-next-week, but here are a few shots from Wednesday (and 1 from Friday) that I have gotten through.

With this weekend marking the end of the original 2020 airshow schedule for the Blue Angels, it in all likelihood ends the Legacy Hornet Era for the team. The hornet is by a wide margin the longest-serving airframe with the team; 34 years of the team's 74-year history has taken place in the F/A-18A/B/C/Ds, assuming all goes according to plan, next year will look quite a lot different with the Blues in Super Hornets.

I never saw the team in anything but a legacy hornet, so while It's a little sad to see them go, I'm looking forward to the next chapter for the team. I put together an album of some of the best/my favorite shots since I started taking pictures at airshows, I hope you enjoy, and here's hoping for a better 2021 season!

By far one of the cooler aviation-related things I've seen in person, probably primarily for the rarity of it, very cool to see the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, and Air Force Thunderbirds honoring the frontline healthcare workers and essential employees.

Short album as the 104 degree heat led to me leaving an airshow early for the first time, next time will definitely require a different strategy.
