I am so incredibly touched by the Aiken horse community.
In 2020, I met Annie, as she had me out to photograph her special boy, Bruno, along with a few other horses for clients for a Christmas gift.
I was still fairly new into photography, and unfortunately while editing, the hard drive with the photos on them crashed. I was absolutely devastated, and tried to find hard drive recovery systems but they did not work.
I now always keep my images on multiple hard drives, as hard drives unfortunately crash frequently.
This past month I had one crash, and I found a new software that recovered all the images I had. I was watching you on Bruno at the Olympics, and realized, I could try to run the software on the hard drive with Annie’s and Bruno’s photos. They all were recovered!
Through the amazing Aiken community FB page, I posted late last night trying to find the owners of the horses that were in Annie's care. The entire community was able to help me reconnect with Bruno's owners, and the 3 other horses' owners so that I can edit and send them their photos that Annie was trying to gift them.
Since the unedited images were recovered, I've been working on editing the images, and seeing how much my editing has changed from 4 years is crazy.
With so many negative posts, it's so wonderful to see the entire Aiken and eventing community come together for this. Btw- Eventers are the coolest people ever, change my mind! I cannot wait to send out the images to each client. For now, please enjoy a sneak peak of Federman B, aka, Bruno. Boyd Martin
