Postcards from Florence 🇮🇹 (Part Four)

We ended the trip in Florence where I had the most fabulous “tour guide”. Molly showed me around the city and took me to all her favorite places. It was a wonderful finale to the trip.

Postcards from Venice 🇮🇹 (Part Three)

We took the high-speed train up from Naples to Venice. It took about 5 hours but the time flew by as train travel is the best way to travel. Venice was such an interesting city. Once we got the hang of hopping on and off and figuring out the ferries, it was a fun mode of transportation.

⛴️ Ferries, gondolas and walking are the ways to get around
👥 By far the best part was spending the day with an old high school friend and her daughter who live outside of Venice. So great catching up Sibby and Livia!

Postcards from Sorrento, Capri & Positano 🇮🇹 (Part Two)

The Amalfi Coast is such a breathtakingly beautiful part of Italy. We spent a couple of days in each town and it would be tough to pick a favorite, however I think Sorrento had our hearts. It wasn’t so crowded as Positano and Capri; I can’t imagine what summer would be like. Positano is not for the faint of heart if you are at all scared of heights or are claustrophobic. The heart palpitations you get driving and walking on the side of the mountain/roads are worth it though for the views … oh those views!! So glad we explored Southern Italy 🍋

⛪️ Churches and monuments everywhere you look
🍋Orange and lemon trees line the roads
🍊 The freshest OJ you can find. I need this machine!
🏩 Trying to find our b&b in Positano was probably the biggest stress we encountered but after checking in and seeing how amazing the views were, we had a good laugh and forgot how much pain we were in by walking up all those stairs with our suitcases .. and tripping

Postcards from Rome 🇮🇹 (Part One)

Spent spring break in Italy with my daughter who is studying abroad in Florence. We had so much fun with lots of laughs, pizza, pasta, cappuccinos, train travel and basically doing whatever we wanted to do each day. It was a holiday full of memories and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

🍕Pizza that lived up to the hype
📜 The magnificent Colosseum
🫒 Apertivo every late afternoon
⛲️ Gorgeous buildings wherever you look
⚠️ Narrow streets (could never drive there)
🏛️ Pantheon
🙏🏻 Saint Peter’s Square announcing the Pope’s imminent return out of the hospital
🍹Spritzes on the street in Trastevere (highly recommend this area)
🍝 Pasta, pasta and more pasta
🚅 Train travel in Europe is simply the best

Christmas is in the air and I feel like I am transported back to Europe. Finally visited this new CHS store and love every detail of it. I instantly spied the wall of candles and new they were the same ones that I picked up when I was in Denmark. The whole store is a curated collection of goodness! 🦌🎄❤️
