Mak dreamed about her senior session for years, and today, she finally got to have her Pinterest board come to life! ✨

Traveling in from Florida, we spent the morning wandering through the trees, soaking up the warm light, and of course, taking a little boat ride through the beautiful Lowcountry scenery. Watching Mak experience it all after waiting for this moment for so long was such a special thing to witness.

Mak, thank you for trusting me to bring your vision to life and for making the trip to Charleston for your senior portraits. I hope these sneak peeks are everything you imagined because I already have way too many favorites! 🤍

As I get ready to say goodbye to August, I’ve found myself doing a lot of reflecting, and I keep coming back to one thing...the people. So far this season, I’ve had the honor of photographing Class of 2027 seniors from 10 different states and across South Carolina, all making their way to Charleston to tell their own story.

The part of photography I love most isn't the camera, the pretty light, finding the perfect location, or getting all the technical things just right. It truly is the people I get to meet. The places that mean something, the stories that bring you here, the parents who tear up behind my camera, and the seniors who show up a little nervous and leave feeling confident and excited. This is my why.

How lucky am I that I get to step into a chapter of so many families’ lives and turn it into something they can hold onto forever? Sometimes that chapter begins hundreds of miles away and leads all the way to Charleston. Sometimes it’s right here in South Carolina. Either way, it’s something I never take lightly or for granted.

So, as senior year begins and we turn the page from August into the fall months, I want to say thank you. Thank you to every Class of 2027 senior who has stepped in front of my camera so far. Thank you to the families who have trusted me with these memories. Thank you for traveling, for bringing your stories, for letting me wander through this charming city with you, and for reminding me why I love what I do, even on the hardest of days.

These are the beautiful seniors who have made this season so special. Happy , my Class of 2027 girlies. Here’s to your senior year! 🩷

Two seniors, five hours, countless laughs, and a whole lot of favorite photos later…

Aubrey and Kelly’s senior session was one I had been looking forward to for months, and every little detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect who they are both together and individually. From exploring Charleston’s historic streets and gardens to ending the day barefoot on Folly Beach, we filled the day with more favorite moments than I can count!

The details made this session even more theirs: pink caps and gowns, American Girl Dolls, childhood stuffed animals, and little nods to the girls they’ve been and the young women they’re becoming. I’m sharing more of their beautiful Charleston senior session on the blog, including all of these details that made this day so special.

Come spend the day exploring Charleston with Aubrey and Kelly at the link in my bio! 💕✨🎀☀️

More of Skylar’s Charleston senior session is officially on the blog!

Our evening was filled with the kind of moments that make a gallery feel like so much more than a collection of beautiful photos. From wandering through the blooms and Spanish moss at Hampton Park to the conversations in between, this session reminded me of just how much I love what I do.

Come take a little walk through Hampton Park with us! The link is in my bio. ✨🤍🌸

Turning a little piece of vacation into a golden hour senior session on the beach…count me in!

Ashley is here visiting Charleston with her family from Connecticut, and what better way to turn part of her trip into something she’ll get to cherish long after she heads home than senior portraits on the beach?!

And somehow, we ended up with one of the most beautiful golden hours on the beach I’ve experienced yet. The light, the colors, the glow…everything paired so well with Ashley and her aura. It was truly stunning!

Ashley, thank you for choosing to spend an evening of your vacation with me. I hope you love these sneak peeks and I can’t wait to share more with you soon! 🤍✨🌊☀️

The only thing better than celebrating one senior is celebrating two…especially when they’re twin sisters!

We spent months planning a senior session that reflected not only the bond Aubrey and Kelly share, but also the individual personalities, styles, and little details that make each of them who they are. Watching both of them shine in front of the camera while creating something that felt completely their own made this a session I’ll be thinking about for a long time. Five hours flew by with countless laughs, exploring some of Charleston’s most beautiful spots, and creating more favorite photos than I know what to do with!

Aubrey and Kelly, thank you for inviting me into such an exciting and special season of your lives. Spending the day with you both and your sweet mom was an absolute joy, and I left with such a full heart. I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your gallery! 💕✨
