It’s time for another Mountain State Music on the Folklore Stage!

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Daily 304 to bring you this in-store concert series that’s also live-streamed and recorded to offer live video performances to WV Artists.

For our September edition, we’ll be featuring Of The Dell, an Indie/Alternative Rock quartet from Huntington, WV. Blending 1960’s-style guitar twang with high energy power-pop and garage rock, these guys deliver powerful performances full of rich vocal harmonies and driving guitar melodies.

We’ll also be featuring Rob McNurlin & his Beatnik Cowboys from the Huntington area. Bringing a mix of original and traditional Folk/Rock, Country/Blues, and Gospel, Rob and his Cowboys deliver an unforgettable and pure, heartfelt performance every time.

Both performances you definitely won’t wanna miss.

As always, this is a free event, but donations are highly encouraged at the door for the musicians.

So make sure to tell your friends and come to the shop on Friday, September 11th for an incredible night of WV music!

Marshall University is excited to welcome home Joe Chrest, a 1986 graduate and star of the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things,” who will serve as grand marshal for the university’s 2026 Homecoming activities the week of Sept. 21-26.

Highlighting his role as grand marshal, Chrest will lead the Homecoming parade at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25. The parade is part of a full week of activities for this year’s Homecoming, “’80s Echoes: Come Back Curious.” The theme honors Chrest’s years at Marshall and draws inspiration from the nostalgic world of 1980s mysteries, as often referenced in “Stranger Things.”

Brothers and West Virginia natives Robert Tinnell and Jeff Tinnell are founders of Allegheny Image Factory, which produced two of Netflix's biggest hits in 2026.

In March and April of this year, two of their films — “Gaslit by My Husband: The Morgan Metzer Story” and “Bad Guardian” — were No. 1 and No. 4 on Netflix, respectively.

Brothers Robert Tinnell and Jeff Tinnell grew up in West Virginia’s Marion County, but left the state to pursue careers in movie production. Their pursuits took them to the West Coast and beyond, where they established themselves in the film industry.
