For those who aren’t aware, each month SBP offers the opportunity for one family who has struggled to grow their family to come in and enjoy a complimentary newborn session. We understand that everyone’s journey to parenthood can look a little different and we want to help preserve these special moments for at least one family each month. “Prayed, cried for, longed for. After delivering and holding two of my children lifeless and having to go on with life, that’s a hurt no one should experience. This child is truly a miracle from God. I truthfully could go on and on about this journey and how it’s taken a lot from me emotionally, mentally. There is no hurt like wanting to be a mother and feeling like it’s happening for everyone but you. Trying to smile through the pain of hearing another one of your friends successfully got pregnant, no trying necessary and congratulating them, celebrating them, and holding their children with so much love in your heart, but a deeper feeling that you wish you could give that love to your own. And worse feeling like it would never happen.
I’ve suffered 3 losses. One very early, one at 17 weeks and one at 16 weeks. With no end in sight to my infertility journey, after 3 years of trying and hoping and praying, my Charlotte came to us this year. I’m the farthest I’ve ever been in my pregnancy and my doctors are extremely hopeful this child we’ve prayed for is our miracle and she will meet us earth-side, healthy and happy.”
