Alright, I hate making posts like this but apparently it must be said.
If you sign a contract with me, I immediately set aside my time to take your pictures. I typically don't schedule anything else for that entire day if it is a wedding or another session that may take a long time. I want to be able to stay longer if you feel that you want me longer than the time you signed on the contract. For typical sessions I don't usually plan anything in the hour and a half before or after. With that being said, I do everything in my power to make sure these sessions go as smoothly as possible and remain professional through having a contract and ensuring that I am in communication with you. I would expect the same from anyone who has signed a contract with me.
If you need to cancel your session for some reason, I understand and there is a section devoted to that in my contract. If you need to reschedule, that's fine also and I will do my best to be accommodating on the date as long as I don't have something that is already planned for that date that cannot be moved. However, this MUST be communicated! Not responding to a message or ghosting me, is not the appropriate way to handle the situation.
Due to this happening, I am putting a non-refundable down payment in my contract. If you hold your session as contracted, this will count toward the total fee for the session. However, if you cancel your session, as stated, it is non-refundable. This is to ensure that my time and efforts are not a waste and I can spend time with my family rather than waiting around for a session that may or may not be happening. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to add that to my contract because I want to see the good in people but I also have to consider how not having it is hurting my business.
Thank you for reading this far! Enjoy some pictures of my sweet baby loving her strawberries and milk bath! Make sure to look at them all, there are some bloopers in there!
If you want some of these pictures for your little one, feel free to shoot me a message or comment below!
