Hey y'all! I just reopened my print shop for a small time. Still deciding what I want to do with it moving forward, but if you want to snag one of my prints, go for it! Let me know if you have any questions about the site or my photos.

Also, a note: the prints themselves don't have text in the bottom left of the image; that's just the titles of the photos on my website šŸ‘

I think that sometimes the river of life flowing out of me looks less like a rushing river and more like a water fountain trickle šŸ˜‚ but maybe that’s enough flow to create with. And I very much mean *maybe*—I’m not totally sold on it yet. But I’m wondering if a trickling water fountain with pure, thirst-slaking water is more sustainable than the rushing river of violently high creative standards I tend to hold myself to? And if saying yes to the water fountain isn’t a ā€œnoā€ to my dreams—maybe it’s a key stepping stone to the next stage?

I’m starting to thing that B&W contrast can make a flower look more beautiful than its color ever could. There’s just so much more detail when I strip down the amount of visual information.

I’ve been trying to get away from ā€œblack and whiteā€ thinking in my life for a while now… but I’m wondering how much more there is to be found in the gradients of grey before I just switch to technicolor and up the saturation and vibrance? These eyes are seeing clearer and clearer!

I got to spend sweet, sweet time remembering my first love for black and white photography yesterday. Chasing this butterfly around was such a highlight.

This session was a delight. Seeing the Rosling family, who are old friends of mine, through my camera lens felt so special. And it was just 2 weeks before the arrival of their second child, too. I felt the gift of photographing this era of their lives.

Thank you , Stephen, and Thomas! Love y’all.

Shooting Ty and Shannons’ wedding as a third shooter with was beautiful. I’m finding that being there for the wedding ceremonies of people I haven’t met before feels sacred in a wholly different way—to get this beautiful, stained-glass-window view into their lives on that day, and to see all their family and friends come together and say ā€œYES!ā€ to these two. I went home tired and full that night.

Caught this beautiful sunset in my car window. We were surrounded by storm fronts, but the sun lit up all the billowing, nasty clouds and just soaked the whole yard in this tangerine light.

I grew up loving the aquarium, and that absolutely has not changed. It was special to go through the exhibits and spaces with my camera, remembering my childhood perspectives and seeing new ones through my lens.

This pelican was so trusting and unfazed by me walking up to him with a 50mm. I’m sure he’s used to people by now, but I was still surprised. I could get so much detail from his feathers because of how close he let me get.

I got to shoot some weddings over the past couple of weeks! It was a wild, beautiful experience. It’s not what I thought it would be in many ways—and to be honest, I loved it. I’m still deciding what I want this page to become and be for me creatively, but right now, I just feel stoked to share some of these photos with y’all 🤘these are from the first wedding, second to come later.

I’m excited about these and proud of how they turned out. I’d love to shoot more weddings—it was an honor to capture sacred moments throughout Jen and Wills’ day. Thank you for the chance to shoot with you, my friend!

This print is incredibly special to me. I took this photo in Darkroom Photography a year and a half ago. It's an image of what actually fills my communion cup. Of the sacrifice that is freely given, not out of duty, but out of God's total head-over-heels love for me. For MY heart.

Oh, God's love tastes like iron,
it tastes like sweet wine,
it tastes like his blood,
completely divine.

Today, I’m launching my photography print shop!

I’ve created a website to host my creative photography and galleries, and I’m offering them for purchase as beautiful prints. I’ve attached some of the photos you can find there to this post!

Here’s the link: www.blakeprintshop.com

The photos are from my personal creative shoots, photo walks, and sacred moments. You’ll find both black and white film photography and digital images.

This is a huge moment for both my heart and my art. I’m grateful for every person who has encouraged me and walked with me in my creative journey. Thank you to every family member and friend who has supported me in what I love to do.

I invite you into my print shop!
