SESSION COMMISSION LAUNCH GIVEAWAY

After over 10 years of photographing in our hometown south of Pittsburgh, and 3 years of teaching photography, we are so excited to launch our portrait commissions in Charleston, SC.

We are giving away 3 sessions to build up our portfolio locally but this will not be a random giveaway! We are looking for people with unique interests, clothing, or locations. It could be a single person of any age, couple, family, or high school senior as long as you're ready to get creative with us. Some of our upcoming sessions include a dancer on pointe and a writer who will be dressing up as a time traveler. We will choose the 3 best ideas for completely free sessions with 5 digital files and will offer many more discounted sessions to those who apply!

To enter send an email to [email protected] and tell us who we would be photographing and what ideas you have for a photo shoot! This contest ends on Sunday, August 7.

Creating the Photo - Part 4/4

Last October, I was in Washington for some fall photo shoots and got the chance to go to the Immersive Van Gogh Experience and on the way into the Pittsburgh, I realized I had to make time to get up and there and get some new images of the city at night with pink light!

So after a senior session the next day, I drove up to Pittsburgh with a friend. As I took this photo, he pointed out the moon which I hadn't even noticed in my shot. I was so focused on getting the Gateway Clipper boat that I despise in a good spot that I was glad I had captured the orange moon before it disappeared behind a cloud.

Creating the Photo - Part 3/4
When we moved into Charleston, we drove through the city at sunrise and each bridge we went over was prettier than the last. We quickly found that the sunsets here are often insanely amazing too.

This image was taken from the John F. Limehouse Memorial Bridge connecting Johns Island and West Ashley in Charleston, SC. I don't think I was supposed to be walking there.

Creating the Photo - Part 2/4
When a photography student asked me about photographing the moon, I didn't really know what to suggest so I had to get outside and give night sky photography a try.

Considering I never want to go to sleep at night anyway, I found that I loved it even if I have to wait forever to see if my photo turned out. This image was created on another gorgeous night at Folly Beach in South Carolina.
