I like to guide you naturally — adjusting small details, helping you relax into movement, and creating space where you can simply be instead of wondering what to do next.

Unrushed.
Comfortable.

You don’t have to pack a bag.
You don’t have to be anywhere at a certain time.
You don’t have to worry if the baby needs to eat… or cry… or be held a little longer.

We photograph in the nursery, on your bed, by the window where the light falls softly in the morning.
Your dog can hop up. Grandpa can sit on the couch. Life just happens around you.

That’s the beauty of an in-home newborn session — it’s not about perfect props or stiff posing.

There’s something incredibly special about photographing first-time parents.
You can feel the love, the awe, the adjustment—and it always takes me back to that season in my own life. Then there’s that moment when their baby cries, and you see it—the shift.
The way a new mama’s entire focus snaps into place, that instinct to comfort—it’s so powerful.
All the worry, the learning, the love—it all shows up in seconds.

Before we even wrapped this newborn session, we had already decided on a spring photo date in DC.

That’s what happens when you hire me as your photographer—you don’t want to wait a full year to do it again.

When you know, you know… and once you’ve had a session with me, it’s hard to stop at just one. 😉

This was our second maternity session together, and this time we brought the baby bump to a local gem in Lucketts—complete with antique charm and all the cozy Christmas magic.

I seriously can’t get enough of documenting families as they grow, and when clients come back? That’s the best kind of yes.
