This was a special session for me.
Backstory…
I met Kinslee and Colby when they were expecting their second child the year I started my business. That first session with them was my very first set of Christmas minis as a photographer…it ended up pouring down rain and I had to pivot last minute by doing the sessions inside my entry way (I always decorate for Christmas thankfully!) I didn’t have any session lighting as I had never done an indoor shoot and my neighbor had to come to my rescue with bar lights from his garage that he and my husband held up during each session. Im not going to lie, I felt extremely embarrassed and defeated yet somehow through all of that chaos, Kinslee and Colby stuck with me and have allowed me to capture seasonal family photos of their sweet family at least twice a year since, as well as entrusting me by having me be their wedding photographer. Over the years they’ve introduced me to both sides of their families and I’ve had the pleasure of doing family sessions, maternity sessions, newborn sessions and two other weddings for their extended families. Saturday I was given the privilege of meeting their third baby and capturing this another special time in their families lives. I am so grateful they didn’t walk out of my house after that first crazy session and never contact me again… instead I’ve gotten to watch their sweet family grow and I couldn’t be more thankful.
I can’t wait to watch this little girl grow like I’ve been able to with her two big siblings.
