As Spring is in full bloom I realized I haven’t shared much of what I’ve been up to! I took a break for awhile. We moved last year and got busy with all new things. But as the weather warms, it makes me itch to get my camera out again. I also realized my heart shows best on specialized children’s portraits, and Seniors. I will be doing some short sessions coming up to build back a portfolio. If you have any needs let me know!

I recently moved and feel like I left my camera behind. I miss it so! I love creating special portraits and really capturing the magic of childhood. My goal this fall is to jump in fully and work towards my goal of having a studio space. I really want to focus on children's portraits. I'm hoping to do some model calls starting in August/September in the Apex/Cary area. Stay tuned and share please once I get my ducks in a row :)

Sometimes a photo I dismiss when I first cull images, ends up being one that really takes my breath away later.

The original image isn't anything special. But when you take that moment and make it into something more, it gains all meaning. Thats what I see now. I see life blowing in the wind, unable to hold it in our hands for long. Loss, Love, Hopes and Dreams , wishes, scattered into the wind hoping they find us again one day.

When I think back on my childhood, what I remember most is wandering through the woods. Playing in creeks and just being outside. Yesterday we decided to go have some fun. She was shocked I allowed her to jump in creeks, splash and make a mess. It's okay to jump in, with both feet. Fearless.

Some of my favorite photos from Sessions are the outtakes. These girls were waiting for their turn to model for us at the workshop I did in Niagara Falls this last Fall. We were making faces and playing Peek-a-boo in the window. The little one was shy at first but we were buddies in the end. I love how cute they turned out!
