Natural Beauty Photography started accidentally in 2010 when I took some photos of my children and found that not only did I really enjoy it, but they turned out to be amazing photos. Since then, I've been honored to capture many memorable moments from engagement photos to weddings, maternity shoots to senior pictures. Some of my favorite locations are the Biltmore Estate, Duke Gardens, and the Bl
ackwood Farm Park. There is so much natural beauty all around us, and it's fun to notice little nuances in a place that seems ordinary. Dead vines creeping over a window with peeling paint, an arched gateway to a garden, and even the grass or tree roots on the ground can serve as a magnificent backdrop. (Yes, I'll climb trees or lay on the ground to capture these shots.) While I prefer to do outdoor sessions, I also have various professional backdrops and lighting for indoor portraits as well. I consider myself a hobbyist, and as such, I typically only work for friends, family, or non-profit causes that inspire me. However, I am available for much less than you would expect to the general public. Of course, you'll want to see my work, and I'll want to get to know you a bit as well. Nothing makes me happier than looking at a photo and seeing the personality of the subject shine through. Because of this, expect to spend a little more time talking to me, being silly during the shoot, and taking at least 500 pictures. My entire philosophy is that if I take a zillion photos, you're bound to like at least 20 of them. I've served as the official photographer at the NC Annual Legislative Breakfast for the past 5 years. In addition, I've covered other events such as Art for Hope and the Murphy School Radio Show.
