This Friday, the Drones For Kids program traveled out to Yuma to introduce another group of young pilots to the exciting world of drones through hands-on STEM education!🚀🚀🚀

Students learned about drone safety, proper operation, and FAA rules and regulations before building their very own drones to take home and continue practicing their flight skills.

Next, we put their new skills to the test with an obstacle course challenge! The young pilots practiced their yaw, pitch, and roll as they worked on precision, control, and confidence behind the sticks. 🎮

The FPV training was a HUGE success, with both students and parents getting hands-on experience piloting the DJI Avata 2 and DJI Neo. Watching everyone step up, learn new skills, and experience the excitement of FPV flight was incredible!

Great work by all our young pilots and participating parents! A special thank-you to Yuma for welcoming Drones For Kids and giving us the opportunity to share our passion for aviation, technology, and STEM education with your community.

Drones For Kids has officially launched its 4-week program in Mesa with The Inspiration Academy! 🚀🚀🚀

Yesterday, our young pilots kicked things off by learning the fundamentals of proper drone operation, flight safety, and FAA rules and regulations. They also got hands-on experience building their very own drones!

Once the builds were complete, it was time to take to the skies! Every student had the opportunity to fly, participate in some friendly drone battles, and take their newly built drones home to continue practicing their flight skills. 🙌

But we’re just getting started! 🔥

Next week, we’re diving into the exciting world of FPV (First-Person View) flight training with the DJI Avata 2 and DJI Neo! Our young pilots will experience a whole new perspective as they develop their flight control, coordination, and precision skills.

A huge thank-you to The Inspiration Academy for helping bring hands-on STEM education to our young aviators!

Big Shout Out to Oliver 🚀🚀🚀

Oliver has officially acquired his very own Holy Stone HS280D camera drone!

He fell in love with drones the very first time he saw them when I came to visit his mom and dad, and ever since then, he has loved every minute of taking to the skies. It’s been awesome watching his excitement and passion for flying grow!

We’re super proud of you, Oliver! Keep practicing, keep learning, and most importantly, keep having fun with your new drone.

The DJI FPV took a nose dive during a training exercise and unfortunately snapped its right arm and damaged the FPV camera. ☠️☠️☠️

Thankfully, we were able to get the replacement parts needed, so this bird will be back in the air and ready for future training flights! 🚀🚀🚀

Crashes are sometimes unavoidable, and accidents happen. What matters is how you respond and what you learn from the experience. Never let a setback stop you from doing what you love.

We’ll repair it, learn from it, and get back in the air. It’s only up from here! Rise Above It All

Drones For Kids is looking for students who would like to enroll in the 4 week program this October in East Mesa 🚀🚀🚀.

We have a location locked in but we’re not able to get enough students to launch a program. If you are interested or you of anyone who might be please send them our way. We would love to have them get their hands on some STEM educated drone classes.

This Thursday, the Drones For Kids program traveled to Prescott for a 4-hour drop-in class at Storm Elite Gymnastics Academy, where we introduced these young pilots to the exciting world of drones through hands-on STEM education! 🚀🚀🚀

Students learned about proper drone safety, responsible operation, and basic flight skills. They also got to build their very own drones, learn how to fly them, and take them home to continue practicing and developing their piloting skills!

Then it was time to take things to the next level with their first FPV training using the DJI Avata 2 and DJI Neo. The students put their flight skills to the test as they navigated through obstacle courses and practiced control, precision, and awareness.

We are super proud of these young pilots and all the hard work they put into learning something new! 👏👏👏

Thank you, Prescott, and Storm Elite Gymnastics Academy, for having Drones For Kids! We can’t wait to come back again soon!

Casa Grande Drones For Kids — Final Week!

Yesterday, the Casa Grande Drones For Kids program wrapped up its final week! The students got hands-on flight training with their personal camera drones. After multiple test flights, we took things to the next level with FPV training using the DJI Avata 2, DJI Neo, and DJI FPV. 🚀🚀🚀

Everyone did an amazing job staying focused, following instructions, and practicing safe and responsible flight while applying the FAA rules and regulations we’ve learned throughout the program.

I’m extremely proud of all the young pilots and the dedication they showed throughout the entire program!

A special thank you to Grow Grande for having Drones For Kids as a vendor in your community and giving us the opportunity to introduce local families to hands-on STEM education through drone technology.
