I have hesitated to write this for months. Perhaps it was to make sure that I was certain in my decision.
I will be retiring from weddings and portrait photography. I have had an amazing 14-year career and I am grateful to have met so many amazing people. Many of them are now dear friends. Photography has blessed me and my family in more ways than I can describe. I have been honored to document and witness some of the most intimate moments in the lives of my clients and friends. I have been there for births and told the story at the end of life. I have watched families grow. I have stood at the feet of some of the most amazing musicians of our time. I have watched and witnessed the beauty of the world through my view finder. I will always look at this as an amazing chapter in my life.
Thank you to everyone who ever entrusted me with your life stories. Thank you to my friends who waited months for their photos but continued to allow me to come back and try again. (You know who you are). Thank you to my husband for your continued support for the nights I spent with my computer. Thank you to everyone that has been my cheerleader and fan. Thank you to Shannon Price Williams for everyone single moment. You are my person.
I love all of you and I have loved this. However I am going to share the love with my talented friends and the new amazing artists that are just coming into their own. May you go out and create beautiful art.
For my last two brides, I look forward to your big day. I will be there for you with all my heart and am excited to experience the end of this chapter with you.
Thank you again to everyone. It's been a wild and beautiful ride.
