I’m going to be a little vulnerable for a moment. 🤍

Lately, bookings have been slower than I’ve ever experienced. I’ve had quite a few inquiries, but many have ultimately gone a different direction due to finding lower pricing elsewhere.

And truly I understand. The economy is tough right now, and I know families have to prioritize what works best for them. If I’m outside of your budget, there is absolutely no hard feelings. 💛

That being said, this is also my livelihood. As a stay-at-home mom to five little ones (all six and under), this business is my only source of income. Because of that, I’m not able to continuously offer heavily discounted mini sessions or free sessions just to keep things going.

I recently shared my Mother’s Day studio sessions and, aside from the giveaway, there hasn’t been interest. I will absolutely still be honoring the Mother’s Day giveaway winner 💐 but the session will now be held outdoors at a location I choose. With no bookings, I just can’t justify paying for a studio rental and risking being out of pocket.

I know there are so many talented photographers in the Champaign area, and I truly wish them all success. This industry is full of amazing creatives. But after five years of pouring my heart into this business, it’s hard to feel like I can’t compete with $50 mini sessions when my mini sessions are priced around $200.

I will absolutely continue to take on clients who reach out and want to book whether that’s now or in the future. Your support, referrals, and kind words mean more than you know.

Documenting the very first moments of life has been a dream of mine for years — the emotion, the strength, the connection, the story unfolding in real time. I’m wanting to take on more birth photography, and it would mean so much to be welcomed into such a powerful moment in your family’s journey.

If you’re planning a home birth or hospital birth and feel comfortable having a photographer present, I would be honored to be considered. Birth is raw, transformative, and unforgettable. Capturing that truthfully and respectfully is something I care deeply about.

✨ The session itself is completely FREE.
This includes my on‑call time, my presence during labor and delivery, and full coverage of your birth experience.

📸 Image Pricing
After your birth, you’ll receive a private online gallery. From there, you can choose to purchase any images you love.

This allows the session to remain free while giving you the flexibility to invest in the images that speak to you.
