I’m sad to say that Rachael passed away on Wednesday at 6:12pm. She was able to spend time with her parents and the kids to say our goodbyes. She went to sleep and passed peacefully shortly after. Arrangements will be posted once they are finalized. I tried to reach out directly to those I could & if I missed anyone I apologize. She fought hard & was positive until the very end. She appreciated everyone’s love and prayers even though she wasn’t able to respond to everyone. Thank you all for your kindness & love. We had 13 wonderful years together & 10 years of marriage. I’m so thankful for the time we had. The amazing family and wonderful memories we shared. Rest well my love. I will see you again. - John

My dearest clients, As some of you may know, I have been fighting a difficult battle against stage 4 colon cancer for the last year. I have to say I have experienced nothing but wonderful support and patience and understanding from all of you as well as new and potential clients who have come my way as well. I feel truly blessed. I spent 8 years building and growing this business so needless to say, it’s been very difficult to now be in a position where I am forced to turn away business and put my healthcare first. I just keep telling myself that saying no today is so I can say yes again in the future. I wish I could give everyone a timeframe for when that day will come. But unfortunately right now my journey is still on an unknown path that I am learning to navigate each day. At this time I am no longer taking any high commitment jobs (weddings/time sensitive projects, events etc) And at a minimum of a few months I can’t even take on any low pressure jobs like portrait sessions because of multiple surgeries and procedures I am recovering from. I do promise to keep everyone updated once this status changes. In the meantime if anyone is looking for photography services I am more than happy to send a list of my top local recommendations. There are many talented professionals in the area. Most of which I have worked with myself n some way and can personally vouch for their services. We have a great community full of small businesses to support and I can’t stress enough how important that is to me as a small business owner myself. Once again I want to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers, understanding and grace as I continue to fight this battle. Your kindness and support means so much to me and only validates to me that this is more than just a job for me. Happiest of Holidays to all of you and cheers to a new and better year for 2022!
