We may have a chance to see the Northern Lights overnight! It will be cloudy, but there should be a break in the clouds around 9PM and early in the morning. Also, the International Space Station will have 2 direct flyovers! Let me know if you’re able to see either of these and share your Northern Lights photos! Clear skies!

The first time I captured star trails was during the winter when there were no leaves on the trees. Ever since, I’ve been wanting to reshoot when there was green in the foreground. Both images are stacks of over 1,000 separate images which show the “apparent motion” of the stars. The North Star, Polaris, is at the center of the rotation.

Equipment used:
Canon 6D
Samyang 14mm lens
Intervalometer
Lens warmer
