Y’all! Just posted a new blog post today!! In what seems like the first time in forever, haha. And, not only is it my first blog post in a little while, it’s my first blog post with FAMILY PHOTOS!! This adorable mother & daughter booked a session for Aubrey’s senior photos, BUT ALSO wanted to grab some sweet photos of the two of them!

Aren’t Steve & Amanda just too CUTE?? They make beach hair look so good! This quick last minute photo shoot happened at the END of our 3 day camping trip, and goodness they still look so good!! 😍

This past week I finished half of my vacation photos from the Assateague Beach camping trip I took with friends last month, haha. I laugh as I say it takes me AWHILE to get around to editing my own personal photos, but honestly having half done within a month of the trip is actually a record for me. 😂 Client photos? Done within 2 weeks of session. My photos? Done within 4-7 years of the event. *palmface* 🤣🤣😭

Anyway, I know we’re going into Fall (YAY!), but I’m still over here with beach vibin’ photos sooooo I’m still gonna post them, haha.

I found a ring on ’s website not too long ago, with the word ‘WORTHY’ on it. Such a simple band with such a powerful and mega-huge feeling word on it. But I bought it. Why? Because sometimes I need to be reminded that God has made me worthy. Worthy of standing up for myself. Worthy of a life well lived. Worthy of knowing my importance. Worthy of being confident. Worthy of being able to speak. Worthy of running a successful business. Worthy of dreaming BIG DREAMS. Worthy of chasing those dreams.

Now mind you…being worthy of these things has NOTHING to do with me. But It has EVERYTHING to do with JESUS and God’s grace and goodness. HE has made me worthy of a life well lived. HE has made me worthy of being able to speak. HE has made me worthy of chasing my dreams. He has made me worthy of this WILDLY BEAUTIFUL life HE has given to me. AND… He has made YOU WORTHY of the same.

I’ve spent a lot of my life thinking that I should only dream ‘so big’ but not too big. Or thinking that wanting my business to be super successful is somehow being prideful. Or thinking that because I serve God, I need to be only humble and not think too highly of myself. Which is TRUE. BUT, I’ve realized that there’s a balance of that.

Yes, being full of pride blinds you and hurts you and those around you. But there’s a difference between being prideful & being CONFIDENT.

Lemme say it this way:

NOT HAVING CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF CAN BE JUST AS HARMFUL AS BEING PRIDEFUL.

So this ring reminds me that I CAN BE CONFIDENT that God has made me WORTHY of the life He has given me. And I can be CONFIDENT that God has made me WORTHY to pursue the dreams He has planted in my heart.

He BLESSES those who are called His and He wants to sow in their lives WILDY BEAUTIFUL things. So, while I don’t know what the future holds, I know the One who holds the future, and I know, that by HIS grace, (not by my own self), HE HAS MADE ME WORTHY of the things He has for me.

Tag someone who is a reminder of this in YOUR life, or a friend who might need this reminder today. I’m right there with ya’ friends. ❤️

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve had my photos taken by another profession photographer and I forgot how wonderful it is!!!! AND I totally had the reaction where I had to email her back the second after I saw the photos in all caps and heart emojis!!!!

As a photographer, I try to make sure that I’m getting in front of my camera a couple times a year, so I can remember what it’s like being photographed. Haha, it’s SO easy just to stay behind the camera, but I quickly forget how much fun it is being in front of it.

The adorable intimate wedding you put together in 3 crazy weeks, was flawless. You were surround by your family and close friends who were so excited to be there. And you guys. YOU GUYS. HORSIES!!!!! Haha, oh hey guys…. ummmmm…. I’m going to tryyyy not to spam y’alls feed with photos from my beach trip to the other week, buuuuuut I can’t make any promises.

So, going on an annual Assateague beach camping trip is one of my favorite summer traditions!! This was year THREE for us, and goodness, it was such a BEAUTIFUL TRIP. Honestly, the first day and night, we could NOT have asked for better weather. It was so good to get away, put my phone down, pick up a book and just listen to the waves along the shore. And of course, get in the water a few times too. :)

Have any of you ever been beach camping before? Honestly, I’ve never considered myself much of a camper. I joke that I’ve grown up in a family of ‘hotel campers.’ I just like to camp comfortably, y’all. 😂 Well, beach camping is on my list of ‘acceptable ways to camp.’ haha. Anyway, it was a great time to chill with friends, soak up some sun (or sit in the shade and read a book, for me 😂), and enjoy sitting around the campfire making s’mores and playing campfire games. And now I have several hundred beautiful photos to edit….which I’m not complaining about. 😊 Gonna go edit some more now….

Yep, this girl ROCKED her tulip session back in the spring, but now I’m just on the floor in awe of her SUNFLOWER SESSION!!! YALL!!!!!!…….I honestly have no words, except you hit it out of the park girl!!!

I grew up knowing this girl cuz we went to the same church growing up. I had begun pursuing photography as a career for a year or two, when she hit me up for her high school senior photos. And now this year, I’ve gotten to do not one session, but TWO sessions with her in CELEBRATION OF HER COLLEGE GRADUATION!! I was so beyond stoked that she asked me to photograph her again, and I had a BLAST.

And goodness, GIRL, YOUR PHOTOS!!!! ….Do y’all know that part in Hamilton where they say “And you’ll blow us all awayyyy!!” Yeah, haha…that’s how I felt as the photographer. 😊 God’s got WILD & BEAUTIFUL PLANS FOR YOU, Heather, and I can’t wait to see all the things He has in store!

It’s a good day for a good day...And it’s Thursday! More than half way through the week!

You know, as I was writing this the other day, I was struggling to find something to write about. It was one of those days where all feelings of productivity seem to get up and fly right out the window….(anyone else have those days?). It’s on these days that sometimes I need to back off and just let myself have a break. One of the things I like to do when I need a break is sit on my couch and knit, haha.

Oh, btw, I KNIT! 🙈😁🤣🧶 After many years of feeling like I’m not crafty, I randomly picked up knitting a few years back, and it’s been a fun activity to do in the evenings or when I just want to relax. And lemme tell ya….I’ve gotten really good at scarves (that’s really all I knit 🤣🤣). EXCEPT that lately I’ve taken to knitting baby blankets! No, no, don’t get excited, they’re not for me, haha. But I did find a place where I could donate baby blankets, and so now I’ve been doing those because it’s like a really big, fat scarf, ha!

This verse struck me differently the other day. Maybe it’s because I’ve been day dreaming about building a tiny house one day, or really just what a future home of my own would look like.

It made me smile. The kind of smile backed by excited anticipation for something really really sweet in the future. Because while I may not know what the future holds, I know the One who holds the future. 😊

I also came across Matthew 10:31 a few days ago, which says: “So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” (I think there’s a sparrow theme lately 😉) If He sees and cares for even the little sparrows, HOW MUCH MORE does He care for those He’s created in His likeness and loves as His children (A LOT, in case you needed a reminder).

So, if you’re feeling a little discouraged lately, write these two verses down on a sticky note and put them somewhere where you’ll see them as a regular reminder of His love and care. God loves you so much and has INCREDIBLY WILD & BEAUTIFUL plans for you, darling! ❤️ 💋⠀

I got to photograph this sweet lady and her business partner a little while ago! Oh goodness, like, can you say dream session!? This is Ashleigh from and she is a rockstar in the wedding business! Y’all should see her take all the hundreds of details on a wedding day and keep them from flying out of control. Her and her team have got it in hand!

BTW, if you’re going back and forth on whether or not to hire a wedding planner, wedding coordinator, or at least day of coordinator, DO 👏🏻 IT 👏🏻. It will make your life SO MUCH EASIER! It allows you to be able to sit back and enjoy all the parts of a wedding day, rather than stressing about ‘Will the flowers arrive on time?’. It’s worth it. Take it from a seasoned professional who has seen a lot of weddings, y’all. 🤣

When people ask me what are ways to not stress on your wedding day, my ONE tip is to hire a planner! It’s so so so worth it. 😊

I was watching a Johnnyswim Live from the Backyard concert last week (which was AMAZING) and it’s truly been amazing to me how people have turned to each other and reached out, even when we really didn’t feel like it was possible in 2020. Goodness, we’ve missed parties, we’ve missed weddings, we’ve missed concerts and conferences and retreats…but that doesn’t mean that we have to miss out on them completely!

Instead, people have held intimate/micro wedding ceremonies with plans for an epic party next year. Others are hosting online concerts so that we can still enjoy some of the same things we always have (big shoutout to & )!!People have hosted conferences online (shoutout to and ) and we’ve been able to hold onto some of the same things we’ve always enjoyed, just in different ways!

Anyway, I just wanted to write a note on how I’ve been so grateful for all the extra lengths that SO MANY people have gone to during this time, to still build community and relationships. And I’m looking forward to getting back to the in-person versions of them when the time is right. 😊
