Andikat Photography I lived in Texas for most of my life, until I moved to the Pacific Northwest a few years ago. I found this region to be inspiring and it led me to photography.

I've always had trouble capturing butterflies, they are almost always moving. Yet today, while visiting a favorite local park, I got two! The one on the left is a California Tortoiseshell butterfly, and a California Sister butterfly is on the right. The California Sister seemed to be putting on a proud little show for me for a time. It was the best part of my day.

At the time when I was viewing these beauties, I was surrounded by hikers and walkers, some ladies doing Tai Chi, a couple having wedding photos taken, and various wildlife known to frequent this park. It was a beautiful early autumn day in Oregon .
