My favorite season is back! Whenever people ask what kind of wildlife I mostly shoot, I always answer with the 3 “B’s” Bees, Birds, and Butterflies! These tiny creatures have always captivated me, and I want to give them the appreciation they deserve. Without pollinators, we would not live in the world we see today, and it’s thanks to pollination that it’s lasted this long.

These beautiful little bees spend their whole short little life working to made this earth the beautiful place it is.

These bees and flowers were taken at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory , a non profit zoo and conservatory in Saint Paul, Minnesota, that features a variety of both indoor and outdoor gardens. And I know Como Friends refers more to the animals at the zoo, but I think their hosting of bee habitat is also worth mentioning 🥰

I am thinking of starting a project to get “non-amateur” photos of local parks and recreation, and maybe other businesses for various online maps and reviews.

Whenever I’m looking at new places to visit, one of my favorite things to do is go on Apple Maps or Google Maps and looks at local photos of these places. While I know not everyone is a photographer and most are just sharing their personal experiences on any given day, I always love to see “what can be” out of these places. Is there some potential to get a special photo rather than a regular one? Can I capture the sun at the perfect angle, or maybe a bird flying through the shot?

It’s almost a challenge, what is the best shot I can get from these everyday places?
