Newborn sessions can be pretty vulnerable - you’re adjusting to a new role, you and your partner are learning how to work together to care for this tiny baby, maybe there’s an older sibling who is having to learn too. All while having a camera there. I know it’s a time of massive transition, and it is my goal to not add any stress but make it an experience where the beauty in those moments is documented. You may feel so unsure, yet you soothe your baby so naturally. You work together so well. Even if you feel stressed, you offer love. I am always so amazed by the families I photograph and love getting a front row seat, even if just briefly.

Thank goodness for a pretty studio space with weather like this 💕 (for real though, will we see the sun again soon?!)

One of the things I love about being a photographer in North Texas is all of the incredible studios that are available to us. All so unique, pretty, bright, and versatile. is a *gorgeous* home with so many beautiful corners and rooms for us to document your sweet family moments. When planning your newborn session, we’ll discuss all the areas in your home that might work. While I loveee photographing a beautiful nursery, we don’t have to use *just* that space. Maybe you haven’t had time to put together a nursery yet (we hardly even use them in the early months anyway, right?!) and you still want the session to be done in your home. It can - what’s most important is that we find the light.

This family did have a beautiful nursery for baby boy where we started our session, but we also used these other areas throughout the home. A pretty hallway, a guest room, even some outdoor space. Loved getting to be creative with several spaces!
