Married couples, we have a question for you:
What did you think was going to be a HUGE deal on your wedding day… that ended up not mattering nearly as much as you thought?
And what was something you didn’t think much about during the planning process… that ended up being one of the biggest parts of your day?
It’s so funny how different the things we stress about before the wedding can be from what we actually remember afterward.
Before the wedding, it’s easy to obsess over the little details. Will the napkins look right? Will everything stay on schedule? What if something goes wrong? Will everyone notice this tiny thing I spent weeks worrying about?
And then the wedding day comes… and you realize you’re married. You’re surrounded by your favorite people. You’re laughing, crying, dancing, hugging, and taking it all in.
And suddenly, that tiny detail you thought was SO important? You probably don’t even remember it.
Meanwhile, something you never expected — a private moment with your spouse, a hug from a parent, a funny moment with your wedding party, or simply standing together and realizing, “We’re actually married” — becomes the moment you remember forever.
So if you’re planning your wedding right now, take a deep breath. Not everything will go perfectly, and it doesn’t have to. The things that matter most usually aren’t the things you spent the most time stressing over.
Focus on the people. Focus on the moments. Focus on each other.
And married couples — tell us yours!
What did you stress over that didn’t matter… and what ended up mattering WAY more than you expected?
