The sweetest family joined me in the studio this morning. Solly is already the BEST big brother and just wanted to hold his sweet sisters. My heart! 🥹

I always love when twins come into the studio! It’s a little extra work with two tiny babies, but getting to capture double the sweetness makes it so worth it!

This one is a little more personal for me to share.

After leaving the Piette’s wedding, I stopped by the hospital to see my Dad. We thought he was going to need his appendix removed. Instead, he walked out with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, and in an instant, it felt like my entire world had crumbled beneath me.

To say life has looked a little different these past several weeks would be an understatement. I needed time to process what was happening in my own personal life, to be present with my family, and to simply take things one day at a time.

I made the decision to step away from this gallery for a few weeks, not because it wasn’t important to me, but because it was. The Piette’s wedding was such a special day, and I wanted to be able to pour my heart and soul into their photos rather than rush through something so meaningful just to meet a deadline.

So, after seven weeks, their gallery is finally being delivered, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their patience and understanding. 🤍

To everyone who has supported my photography business, checked in on me, or given me grace during this season, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This business means so much to me, and so do the people who continue to trust me with their most precious memories.

Thank you for giving me the space to be human while navigating one of the hardest seasons of my life. Your grace means more than you know.

Had to share just a little sneak peek of the Totten family before I head out to tutor my daughter’s homeschool class today! 🤍

I just love how Nicole always has her girls matching, right down to their earrings! How darling is that?!

I don’t typically photograph in the middle of the day since the sunlight isn’t always in our favor, but we found some beautiful pockets of shade and made it work!

And for those of you waiting on your galleries, I promise I haven’t forgotten about you! I’m going into overdrive over the next few days and working hard to get everything edited and delivered to you as quickly as possible. If you are waiting for a reply back from me, I will get to those this afternoon as well! Thank you all SO much for your patience!

The Cripe family was in front of my lens tonight, and they absolutely KILLED it!

You would never know it from these photos, but there were photographers left and right tonight! 😂

When I shoot at this location, I usually have my own little flow that I follow, moving from one spot to the next. Tonight? We were here, there, and everywhere trying to dodge other families and find our own little pockets of magic!

But that’s the beauty of photography... sometimes things don’t go as planned, and you just have to roll with it! And let me tell you, this sweet family made it SO easy.

Proof that even when things feel a little chaotic behind the camera, the magic still happens in front of it!

24 people, a hayride through the field, a pumpkin patch, and a moment that reminded me exactly why photographs matter so much. 🤍🥹

One of my favorite moments from the Rogalski extended family session last night was taking photos of Grandma and Grandpa together. As I was photographing them, Grandpa got a tear in his eye, wiped it away, looked at his wife, and said, “Wow, we have never gotten photos taken together.” 🥹😭 Tell me how I’m supposed to keep it together after that?!

With 24 people, you might think it would be pure chaos, but honestly, it was the complete opposite. Just so much love, laughter, and a whole lot of memories being made.

THIS is why I love this “job” so much. It’s so much more than taking pictures. It’s getting to meet new families, hear their stories, capture moments they’ll look back on for years, and sometimes even become a tiny part of their family traditions.

I know it’s late, but I just HAD to share a few photos from the Redmond family’s session yesterday morning!

I don’t typically shoot morning sessions, but it was the only time that worked for us, and I am SO glad we made it happen! The sky was absolutely beautiful, and we got that dreamy, glowy look that I usually chase during golden hour. ✨

A little reminder that sometimes stepping outside of your usual routine leads to the most beautiful things!

I’m a little late getting my sneak peeks posted this week, but I couldn’t let this one go without sharing!

The Petzak family was SO much fun to photograph! We had a little mishap with a bloody nose, but Dad came to the rescue and somehow managed to not get a single drop on his shirt!

After that, it was smooth sailing, and we had the best time capturing this sweet family just being themselves.

I truly love getting to freeze these little moments in time for families. There’s nothing better than documenting the laughter, the chaos, the personalities, and all the love in between. 🤍

The Smigelski family is ALWAYS so much fun! I look forward to their session every single year, and somehow they keep making each one better than the last.

A few weeks ago, Lori texted me and sent me the location for this flower field and I was immediately like… okay, YES. But seeing it in person?! Oh my goodness. It was STUNNING. I honestly didn’t want to leave their session tonight!

And you would NEVER know from these images that it was only 58 degrees. 🥶

They were absolute troopers, and somehow we made a chilly evening feel like the perfect little summer night.

I am so thankful for families who come back year after year and trust me to capture these moments for them. Watching their family grow and getting to spend a little time with them each year is something I truly treasure.

And Lori… thank you for finding this gorgeous little spot because I am officially obsessed.

All I want to do is share this WHOLE ENTIRE GALLERY. Seriously, I could not narrow it down if I tried!

The weather was looking a little iffy, so we decided to move their session up an hour… and it ended up being the BEST decision. The light was beautiful, the weather cooperated, and we got so many sweet, genuine moments.

Now, wrangling 5 kiddos was definitely a task 😂 but we made it FUN!

Because sometimes you just can’t make kids stand still, look at the camera, and smile for an entire hour and honestly, I don’t want to! Some of my favorite images are the ones where they’re simply being themselves. So we played Ring Around the Rosie, Duck Duck Goose, explored, ran around, laughed, and let them just BE KIDS. 🤍

I absolutely LOVE sessions like this. The real smiles, the giggles, the chaos, the little moments in between… those are the memories you’ll want to remember.

If you’re wanting Fall photos, now is the time to reach out! The cooler weather is here, the leaves are changing, and my Fall availability is VERY limited. Don’t wait until the last minute to get on my calendar!

Sweet baby Koda was in the studio yesterday! 🤍

I’m not sure what’s happening with all these sweet babes lately, but they are ALL so interested in looking around and taking in the world! 😂 Koda was no exception. He wanted to see everything going on… but finally gave in and snoozed through about half of his session.

There is just something so sweet about those sleepy newborn moments.
