WELCOME Meteorologist Alicia Skiver-Palmer TO THE MICHIGAN STORM CHASERS TEAM!

Alicia was a standout candidate during the hiring process with extensive leadership skills and experience. Here at MSC, you’ll see her on streams, making graphics, and helping out in other various roles.

From Alicia:

“I’m a Michigan native with a love for severe weather, from Great Lakes storms to tropical weather and everything in between. I have a master’s degree in Environmental Geosciences from Mississippi State University and a Weather Forecasting Certificate from Penn State, and I’m always looking for something new to learn. I also have a passion for helping communities impacted by natural disasters and making weather information easier for people to understand. When I’m not watching the weather, you’ll usually find me working around our farm, spending time with my husband and our three boys, or traveling and exploring the outdoors. I love hiking, climbing mountains, and pretty much any excuse to get outside and experience somewhere new.”

Good morning Michigan! Our usual 7am Daily Conditions were posted last night at 8pm as we test to see which time slot everyone likes better. If you'd like see the original daily conditions post, click the link at the bottom of this post. For now, the "Nice Day Index" slides to the 7am slot.

A sub-par day on tap for your Tuesday as humidity fills in alongside rain/storm chances for areas further north. Expect high temperatures in the 70s and 80s with clouds filling in as the day goes on.

Well, if you’re wondering what you can expect from this page now… pretty much this. 😂🌪️❤️

A whole lot of sky, weather, storms, drone adventures, sunsets, places I’ve explored, things I’ve seen and probably way too many pictures because apparently I’m incapable of seeing a cool sky and NOT taking a picture of it. 😂📸

Some of these are weather related, some are just adventures, and some are simply moments I thought were too cool not to capture.

Photography definitely isn’t leaving my life. I’m just pointing the camera at the sky a whole lot more now. 🌩️🌅🚁

Photography is NOT going away. I’ll still be booking sessions, but all of my photography work, sneak peeks, session updates and booking information will now be over on my new photography page. It feels a little crazy changing a page that has been part of my life for so long, but I am SO excited for what’s next. Photography will always be part of me, it’s just getting a new home while this page grows with this next chapter of my life. ❤️
