I visited Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge with my friend on Monday. I did get a couple of glimpses of the rare blond baby bison as well as several brown babies - but the herd was a distance from the road and trail so I didn't get any very good photos. Still fun to see this rare baby!

After spending a couple of hours yesterday morning at John Deere Marsh in Dubuque and grabbing a bit of lunch at Panera I finished my day at one of my go to places! Not a lot blooming yet - but the flowering trees and a few of the early spring flowers were out - and a bumblebee! So happy for warmer weather and color!!

Perfect Lightning Storm tonight! No wind, just light rain but almost non stop lightning! I was able to safely sit in my garage with the door up and photograph the action for about an hour! So fun!
