Some weddings just leave you feeling a little softer afterward and I cannot wait to share these two and their big day 💛

The entire day, every person who stood up to speak talked about these two with so much love and admiration.

The way their families described them, the way they looked at each other, the way they moved through the day... everything felt so gentle. So steady. So sure.

One of my favorite parts of their story is that Jade proposed the day they got the keys to their first home, with their pups running around their new farm, a moment of excitement turning into even more 💛

During one of the speeches, Brooke's dad talked about how they came together almost by coincidence. How easily life could have gone another direction. And yet somehow all the right things lined up at exactly the right time.

What a gift that kind of love is 💛

If you haven't had a moment just to yourselves all day, this is the perfect excuse to take a break and a breather plus take some really pretty pictures! Even if you just want to take 5 minutes for photos with me and the 10 other by yourselves, I definitely won't complain 🥰

The more years I spend as a photographer, the more I realize my favorite thing to photograph isn't always just weddings, families, couples, bo***ir, or any specific type of session.

It's joy.

Maybe that's why I love photographing so many different things. At the heart of all of it is someone celebrating something 💛

A wedding day. An engagement. A growing family. A baby on the way. A graduation. A birthday. A new chapter. A version of themselves they're finally learning to love.

There is so much to celebrate in this life!

And I know life isn't always easy. Trust me, I know that. But I think that's part of why joy feels so important. Joy needs to be documented and cherished because it's ever flowing through this life 💛

The two and their joy speaks volumes to that 🫶🏻

These photos of my best friend have been sitting in a gallery waiting for the right moment, and her 33rd birthday feels like the perfect time 💛

We’ve been friends since we were 14 years old, which feels both impossible and completely believable at the same time lol.

She’s one of those people who leaves a mark on everyone she meets. The kind of person who can make you laugh so hard one second and then say something so thoughtful and intelligent the next. She is wildly funny, insanely smart, deeply caring, and one of the most resilient women I know.

Watching your best friend grow up alongside you is such a strange, beautiful thing. We’ve seen each other through awkward teenage years, huge life changes, heartbreaks, big dreams, survival mode, healing, identity shifts, and all the in between moments that shape a person over time.

And somehow every version of her has still felt completely her 💛

These photos were taken before we shaved her head. Before another transformation. Another wild experience together. Another chapter. I love them for so many reasons but mostly because it feels like she was placed in the world's of her favorite stories. Ever after, Pride & Prejudice, all the dreamy stories she loves so much 📖

Lexi, I love you endlessly and I feel so lucky I get to exist in the same lifetime as you. Happiest of birthdays and onto an extraordinary year 💛
