I’m an Austin-area photographer (Hutto-based) with a passion for taking photos. I specialize in natural light family and children portraits at all stages along the way. From couples, babies, young families, to multi-generational family portraits, I enjoy watching love evolve and grow. Your love is there and it’s beautiful. r. A little about me.... I’m a wife and mother to two amazing kids, but the road to motherhood was not easy. I struggled to become a mother. And during that difficult time of my life, there were times it looked bleak. Often, I believed all hope was lost. But I'm grateful to report that despite that difficult path, I did become a mother to two amazing kids: a little boy and a little girl. I believe that because of the path I walked, I cherish all of these seemingly 'ordinary' moments of parenthood so more than I ever could have otherwise. Not only do I relish in these moments for my own family, it has given me a special perspective to see those sometimes overlooked moments and connections that make for capturing other families' special moments as well. I love being able to freeze these moments in time. In fact, I swear I see them in slow motion even without a camera in my hand. To add to that, not only do I know what it's like to be on this side of the camera during a session, but wrangling my own family for our own annual photos keeps me understanding what it's like to be in your shoes. I completely understand the meltdowns, the painstaking choices of outfits, the bribing and pep talks in the car, and the amount of pure sweat it takes loading everyone up only to show up with the grumpiest of subjects feeling devastated believing you won't get a single shot with everyone's 'attitude.'
But listen, don't worry, I've got this. Not only do I get it from this side of motherhood, I come prepared to follow even the wildest-of-child's lead and still always manage to grab authentic and surprisingly fun shots (even during what feels like an especially uncooperative-child-moment) that you will cherish forever. Often, the wild-child moments lead to the best, most authentic candid shots, too. So while I know it’s impossible to convince you not to stress, please trust that almost every parent feels this way and it will end up okay. We will have a great session together.
