It was my sister’s wedding on the weekend. I wasn’t there to photograph it, just got to slow down, be present, and enjoy it. The incredible had it covered, but I still brought my camera along and quietly made a few frames of my own.

Then the heavens opened up with a sunset for the century, mixed with a few shots of my daughter being the cutest flower girl in the world.

As a photographer and art director, whether I’m shooting a campaign or a couple, I’m always building a world.

Mood boards are part of that process.

There are two kinds:
One built for feeling — tone, atmosphere, texture.
The other built for intention — framing, movement, restraint.

This one is about how I see weddings and couples.

My references don’t come from the last five years.
They go back 20 years and beyond. That’s where the work deepens for me. That’s where it holds weight.

Last year I had the opportunity to work with Tecovas.
From both a fashion and storytelling standpoint, it was one of my favorite shoots I’ve ever done.

The western world isn’t mine—and I don’t try to wear it as costume or claim it as something it’s not. But there’s a depth to that culture, a sense of history and quiet conviction, that pulls you in almost immediately.

Cinematically, it opened a door. The 50s, 60s, and 70s have always been where my references live—film, photography, character—and this project gave those influences room to breathe in a way that felt honest.

Grateful to the entire team for the trust and collaboration.
Truly one of the defining moments of my career.
