While this post could be about love, family, miracles or answers to prayer, let's go in this direction.
Photography isn’t just about light and composition. It’s about people. It’s about remembering. It’s about preserving the irreplaceable moments that tell us, yes, they were here. They were loved. And they still are.
This post is in memory of our nephew, Ben Jensen, age 30, who passed away one week ago, on Mother's Day 2025, after his battle with a rare cancer.
I had the opportunity back in December to stop for a visit when my sister's family gathered for a staycation. I returned the next day with my camera to capture these memories. These images are now more than just pictures. They’re a way for his son to see, years from now, the way his dad looked, the way they loved each other. The way they were a family.
Life doesn’t always give us notice. But it does give us the chance, right now, to hold on to the moments that matter most and to cherish the memories we have of those we love dearly.
Until we meet again.
