Family shoot.
They asked if they could bring a car with a really hood stiry behind it.
Brent, the man pictured below in the family shoot, had a brother named Aaron
Aaron bought the Monte from his Aunt Mona after he graduated from high school. He was dating a girl for a few years and had a bad break up and had to many memories and ended up selling the car in 2002.
In May 22, 2008 Aaron was killed in a car accident.
Brent had always wanted to find a car like Aaron’s 87 Monte because Aaron loved that car and regretted selling it.
They never knew who he sold it to or if it was even around the area. They figured it was in some junk yard somewhere.
The summer that Covid was in full swing Brent and his wife Kay were doing a lot of walking and were out for a walk one afternoon they saw a white Monte traveling down BE.
Brent had talked to Jesse, a local mechanic about seeing the Monte.
Jesse said he said I think that is Jim Case, the next day the Monte showed up at Brent’s cousins shop to have the air conditioner recharged.
Brent told Jesse if it was Aaron’s car their is a bleach stain on the floor the back seat.
Jesse sent a video of the stain on the floor and Jesse then was telling Jim Case at that time the owner of the Monte and Jim said well there is paper work in the car from the prior owner.
Aaron’s registration was still in the car!
Brent and I went and talked to Jim at Jesse’s shop after he got home from work and we talked to him and we said we have to purchase the car and at this point whatever you throw out there we are going to pay it.
Jim owned the car for a total of 4 days, and sadly died in Arizona a year later of a massive heart attack and we are thankful he let us purchase the Monte from him that day.
Lots of tears were shed that week!
But Aaron’s car is home and will be passed onto to our children’s children.
This story gave me chills.
Still does.
Amazing story about a car and sign from a brother that he’s still around. Keeping an eye on you.
Chills
