Peace

Sitting in a coffee shop in SLC, I look out the window and see a guy staring at the sky, completely in the moment. He goes back and forth from the contemplative wandering to writing in a notebook, looking completely at peace. Present.

As I observe, I can see myself. I try to be present where I go. I’ve sat at coffee shops many times doing the same. I quickly snapped this while the moment was still there and threw it on my computer with the intention to edit it, meet him, and possibly send it to him if he wanted it.

As I was leaving, I approached him, showing him and talking about what I saw. How peaceful he looked from an outside perspective. I asked if he has a phone I could send it to (if he wants it of course). He said he didn’t have one and that’s probably why he looked so at peace. We had a small laugh and I headed out.

It was exactly what I observed and what I seek in my day to day. I hope that you find your peace and presence today and each day. Take a second to just sit and enjoy the moment. To think about or write down what you are grateful for. There’s a lot going on in our worlds, but to take an intention moment is not only valuable, but is powerful.

Last week

Had an opportunity to volunteer with thanks to at the North Rim. I had never been up there, so when it came through I instantly jumped on it. I didn’t exactly know what I was getting myself into, but I was excited to get physical and put in nature.

It turned out to be an amazing trip. Not only because of the work we did, but because how great a reset it was too. We camped out, no service, just sleeping bags, tents, nature, and good company.

Each day we worked hard helping with erosion control. This comes after the Dragon Bravo wildfire from last year. It was interesting to see forests burnt down, but life starting to come back. I learned a lot from the people at Grand Canyon Trust as well as some reps from the National Forest Foundation and others. Not only was it good work, but it taught me a lot about the land and about the people who inhabited it before us.

A beautiful experience and much needed while living in this concrete jungle. I had so many photo it was hard to combine all that I wanted to share on here, but I did what I could.

Make the time to get involved, or at the very least go back into nature and disconnect for a bit. It’s worth it and no doctor or health specialist can do what that does for us.

Some from the shoot with for for one of their leather bomber jacket

Had a great day of convos, riding, shooting, and hanging with good people for this shoot. Ended the night with dinner at where we had the chance to just hang, decompress, and listen to live music. Overall a solid day. Looking forward to the next one

Puerto Vallarta

Traveled there for a buddy’s wedding and fell in love with the place. Not only is it more accessible than I thought it was, I had no clue how beautiful it was. Although we didn’t explore way too much, I got to see it from some pretty cool vantage points. Beyond the bug bites from the botanical gardens (literally warns to wear pants or bug spray - guess who didn’t listen…), it’s definitely a place I would love to see more of. The hotel/resort main drag of Cancun never exactly made me love Mexico. The trip to Isla Mujeres was wonderful. Rocky Point has its place, but this won me over.

Finally getting some time to move through the Canada trip from last year again. These are just a few “imperfect” photos that I felt told a lot of the story of what we saw. The place is massive and beautiful. Shooting from the bike isn’t always perfect, but sometimes you get some shots that have life to them and don’t need to be clinical.

These were shot on a 40mm at f16 with 1/60th shutter speed. There was dust in the lens and dust on the sensor from all the riding. I decided not to remove that or the vignetting in post as I think we get caught up in having everything look perfect before sharing. That’s not real life though and these things or “flaws” add character to it just like life.

Looking forward to sharing more from this adventure on two wheels through Canada with some amazing guys and amazing views. For now, enjoy the bikes, the horses, and the scenery.

The .y crew put on one hell of a show for at to kick off 2026. The energy was high, rubber burning, asphalt and tires flying everywhere, and even a bike on fire to send it off.
