It felt like cinema. We walked the path in Wash Park as the sun set. Soft, golden light outlined everything until small droplets dappled their skin. Warm summer rain fell lightly, and each droplet carried the sun down with it.
So, naturally, they danced. They danced, giggled sweetly, and loved on each other. The rain cleared quickly, and we turned to see two full rainbows stretching around them.

This is a love story I’m honored to help tell. I’ve known Miss Evie as a child, then a young woman as she babysat my son, and now as she’s so in love with her beautiful fiancé, Katelyn.

I can still feel the rain. This evening renewed something in my artist’s heart. Congratulations to Evie and Katelyn! ✨🏳️‍🌈🤍

I think Brooke might actually be a Disney Princess. Honestly, I felt a little guilty after her senior pictures because I kept saying so. Ok, hear me out: Along with being so sweet, brilliant, and beautiful, small critters kept coming up to her! We had birds swooping by, ducks swimming to her, bees flying around her, and at the end, a FROG hopped to her! I asked her to catch it for a photo. She tried but didn’t want to hurt it. Storybooks are written about a young woman like this! ��

When the baby becomes the big sister, she is thrust into a new role: Big Girl. She is now to be a patient helper. I try to keep this transition in mind when documenting the growing family at home. Newborn photography is special. I love the chance to tell these stories!

The B Family is hosting a wedding soon and their family is growing. I loved observing these kind parents openly show so much love, inclusion, and appreciation for each person. 🩷 The heart of these photographs is Mama. This year, when searching for a location, my dream was to use an elegant space as a blank canvas. Most studios have faux-floral backdrops this time of year. While beautiful, a floral set goes against my goal for these minis: To artfully document the connection between mother and child without distraction.
Studio Ten6 fits the dream this year. I can't wait to get started!
