This morning I blessed with a neighborhood bobcat sighting. This very healthy male was tracking a squirrel. It was cool to see how he first noticed it and then crept up on the unsuspecting prey. In the end, the bobcat was unsuccessful and went looking for other opportunities.

Last Saturday evening I headed out to the eastern plains of Colorado. Out there is this beautiful, quaint little church. The skies were clear, the humidity low, little wildfire smoke made for good conditions for star trails.

Yesterday, Sandy and I visited to the National Museum of WWII Aviation located in Colorado Spring, CO. The highlight was seeing the F7F-3 Tigercat fly. What a gorgeous aircraft.
It's the first twin-engined plan designed for the U.S. Navy. Though designed and built during WWII it was too late to see any action. Fun fact: The Tigercat was too large for any current aircraft carriers so, it only operated from land bases.
