Special SHOUTOUTS to the amazing worship team for bringing down the house with their performances! 🤩And to every person who works hard before and after service to build and tear down every weekend, especially Rachel and Nora... your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed, we love and appreciate your hard work that made the services so very special for everyone involved! 😍

Taken in the early evening hours, this was right after Hurricane Irma ripped through our City Beautiful. 😞 Shortly after curfew lifted after the storm, we ventured out to check on our home... and find that we were blessed with no damage. Something, as we would find out, not everyone in our community would be saying in the days to come. I captured this photo hoping to show just how I was feeling at that moment... a moment of stillness and peace, of the promise of a better tomorrow.

Enjoying lunch while we wait by the station... 🚌 Richmond, VA is beautiful and my photographer's eye is going 😍 in this city! At Sweet Teas Southern Cuisine not only did we find DELICIOUS southern food, chic and yet laid back atmosphere, we also got an incredible history lesson by the proprietor!

The building was part of the Underground Railroad that ran through Richmond, and has most of its original stunning architecture! It made my heart heavy hearing about how the community is currently battling with gentrification that is threatening to wipe out the local African American history and soul, however.

If you have a chance, make sure to support and visit Sweet Teas Southern Cuisine; a real gem of the city 💎!
