A day off from one job allows for work on the other. Today was spent on country roads less traveled, in barnyards and shooting old barns well past their prime; all beautiful none the less. We're waiting for our first snow as the sky and weather look more like winter with the last taste of fall still hanging on for all it's worth.
Creation speaks of the glory of the Creator, His attention to every detail. Romans 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made....
Today one of my favorite old hymns came to mind as we were reviewing the work from our afternoon... I thought I'd share the words with you...
This Is My Father's World
This is my father's world, and to my listening ears all nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres
This is my father's world: I rest me in the thought of rocks and trees, of skies and seas; his hand the wonders wrought.
This is my father's world, the birds their carols raise, the morning light, the lily white, declare their maker's praise.
This is my father's world: he shines in all that's fair; in the rustling grass I hear him pass; he speaks to me everywhere.
This is my father's world. O let me ne'er forget that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet.
This is my father's world: why should my heart be sad? The Lord is King; let the heavens ring! God reigns; let the earth be glad.
I'm always amazed at the wonder of creation. The sights and sounds; colors and aromas... all show a divine design the hand of the creator.
Thank you for continuing to check back here and take the time to look at the pictures that we post. We're posting on our website too, so please be sure to check there as well. We hope that you'll continue to enjoy our eye for creation.
