We are so excited to participate in Warm Hearts this year. Please stop by and support us in Cascade!!

The number of people experiencing homelessness is growing. Many are families with children or unaccompanied youth. Our Warm Hearts Winter Drive starts today, supporting shelters in our communities that serve our neighbors in need. Join us as we raise funds and collect new warm winter items including coats, hats, gloves, and socks. Read more here http://ms.spr.ly/6187iKFrR and donate online or at any branch now through December.

Thank you for your continued support of Wet Spot Photos. Here are a few highlights from the July 11/12 photos. We are looking forward to serving rafters on Saturdays and Sundays this summer while there is good weather and water flows. See you on the river!

Although this is the best weather Labor Day weekend we have had in years, apparently the Bureau of Reclamation decided to mess with all of the rafters by closing down the flow on the NF Payette early. It is extremely Bonney at this point. Therefore we are not taking photos this weekend. We hope to see everyone again next year. Happy boating until then. If you wanted to purchase photos from another earlier trip, we can look them up. Pam and Tim

The weather looks good for the last long weekend of the 2018 boating season. That means it will likely be our last weekend of taking photos this year. Please join us on the Cabarton stretch of the North Fork Payette River and mention this post for added savings on your photos! Purchases must be made on site this Labor Day weekend only for the added savings.

Updated information from the INCI website - https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/6017/

It states that the Cabarton Boat Launch will reopen Saturday 07/28/18 at 7 am. Rafters will be asked NOT to stop along the banks due to firefighters working the area. Please call to verify before launching.

UPDATED INFORMATION***
Due to the continued fire activity, the North Fork of the Payette river, will continued to be closed to public access from the Cabarton Boat Launch to Smith's Ferry through Wednesday August 1st, with a TENTATIVE open date of August 2nd, with obvious concerns of public and fire fighter safety. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this please contact Larry Laxson, Valley County Recreational Supervisor at 208-405-3148.

Due to the fire activity on the North Fork of the Payette river in Valley County West of Round Valley, the North Fork of the Payette River from the Cabarton Boat Launch to Smith's Ferry is closed until further notice. This action is being taken in efforts to battle the ongoing wildfire that was reported to Valley County Dispatch at 4:52 pm on 07/23/2018.

07/25/2018

As of yesterday the Cabarton put-in was closed due to the Tressel wildfire. We will continue to monitor the fire situation and be taking photos if it is open this weekend. Hope to see you all on the river soon.
