It’s been a while but we had a chance to get on our bikes and ride at the track. My 2nd oldest got to go with us and watch with his best friend and that was really fun.

It’s been 6 weeks since I had a chance to ride and I got frustrated with myself at the beginning because I felt like I made great progress and then I lost seat time and felt like I had taken steps back.

By the end of the ride time I felt a lot better. I found my bearings and my start stops were smoother and upright. I didn’t lay Lexi (my bikes name) down stopping and losing my balance. I also rode the beginner track for the first time. I rode it most of the day and didn’t fall at all. Greg Lacher helped me the whole time.

I warmed up with ovals, straight lines, and figure 8’s at the flat part and that was really fun. Today was a great day to ride and I’m greatful for the lessons I’m learning and the seat time.

My goal is to be able to ride the VET track by the end of the year and race not this season but the next one.🙂

I got to practice on my bike, Lexi. I don’t know who got beat up more, me or her. We both came out with some scuffs, bumps, and bruises. I whiskey throttled today and established a relationship with a wired fence. Lexi had to be detangled, and after a couple tosses, I jumped up and yelled, “I’m okay!!!” Then I got back on her again and kept going. It’s fun, and I love the learning process. This is one of the hardest things I’ve been learning, but I love it and the reward of progressing each time I put in seat time is really cool. I can only keep getting better and grow.💕

Whew, we did it! 23,651 images later I am happy to say our AZ VET International Races gallery is officially completed! Thank you all for your wonderful patience and kind words. This was a fun experience and I’m greatful to have made some new friends and watch amazing riders from all over the country and Canada🙂.
