Finished framing the last of the face-mounted acrylic images I recently had the lab do for me. "Clearing Storm" is a 16"x16" image recently added to my portfolio. The 1/4" acrylic facing on this one really adds depth to the image.

This is another face-mounted acrylic mounted image from my recent trip to Northwestern Wyoming. It's a 16"x20" image titled Mountain Suite - Spring. Often, those of us who pursue wildlife images simply focus on critters and forget that many of these critters live in some of the most beautiful places on earth. We fail to include much of the setting the critters are in. The great blue heron in this image is framed by layers of environmental colors and textures. The grass on the bank adds texture. Willows and aspens are beginning to leaf-out to add color. Ragged looking clouds in the upper background are clearing from the mountains.

Did some framing on Saturday afternoon... Reflections of Mount Moran is a 20"x30" image face-mounted on 1/4" acrylic. Using this technique increases the depth of the image.

Spring is a good time to chase bear images in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. I was fortunate to find a couple of grizzlies who were engaged in amorous behavior and spent a whole day with them. They put on quite a show. (LOL) I also managed to find a cooperative black bear that was too busy eating to notice me. Fun stuff!
