I create photographic gifts with my images. I love to photograph everything outside, including flowers, trees, water, barns (I’m enamored with barns!), buildings, wildlife and even bugs! I like to experiment with macro photography (hence the bug images) and enjoy working in natural light. Living in NC allows me the opportunity to capture all of these incredible images of nature. I am also a Real E

This quote captured my attention today. Does it speak to you as well? Reverend Peter Marshall was the Chaplain of the U.S. Senate and this quote was from a prayer he gave on July 3, 1947. He thought this sentiment was so important that he included a version of this statement three different times that year. On this Independence Day, let’s all strive to do what is right. 🇺🇸🌈

That’s me with the camera. Hi, I’m Jill Denbow, the photographer behind Elements in Focus. Back in 2019, I had a vision of where I wanted to take my business. At the end of the year I decided to take a break from attending vendor fairs and posting on social media to regroup. Then the pandemic hit. That short break turned into years. But it’s time for me to move forward with my vision. Today I attended a workshop with , founder of , and am feeling energized! Check her out and her shop!
I’ll be coming back to social media slowly over the next couple of months and hope to bring some exciting news by the end of the summer. In the meantime, for those of you who don’t know me, here’s a small introduction.
I’m married, have 3 daughters and a spoiled pup. Photography has become a passion of mine. Other than being with my family, the beach is my #1 happy place, but behind a camera lens is a close 2nd. Editing and creating art with my images is a not too distant 3rd. This is the year I’m growing my business (again) and I’d love to share this journey with you. Along with my photos, I am sharing words of inspiration with the hope that I can brighten your day with either or both. Please tag a friend or two if you think they would appreciate one of my images or quotes. And while my website is always a work in progress, feel free to check it out. All images here in Instagram and on my website are available as matted or canvas prints, except this one of me. 😉 I also create boxed sets of note cards, perfect for gift giving, which I hope to have on local retail store shelves soon! Look closely at these dates...the 1800s!!! We saw this special area this summer during our tour of the Ferreira Cellars in Oporto, Portugal. I was amazed that they had bottle that old! What is the oldest wine you’ve had the pleasure of drinking?

🌈 Anyone else feel color or have color affect your mood and perspective? 🙋‍♀️
When I shot this the sky was dreary, which did nothing to make the colors in the buildings pop. That didn’t matter. I could have played with it in Photoshop, but why? This was real. These colors made me feel something that day, which was different than what I would have felt if the sun had been bright and shining directly on the facade of the buildings. ☀️☁️
