There’s something so special about photographing the same woman more than once✨

Meet Dana. Entrepreneur & business owner, who gives and helps others every single day! It’s been five years since her last session, and Dana came back to update her headshots for her business website and social profiles. She also wanted to create some gorgeous magazine style portraits to celebrate this season of her life.

And here’s the funny part - Dana walked into her reveal worried she might not love the images. A feeling I hear ALL the time! Then she saw them. And loved them all.

Our second shoot together, and so much fun! ✨

Rachel came back to the studio to update her professional photos, and I love that we’re creating images that represent who she is today.

Seeing parents with their adult children in the studio is a beautiful reminder that family portraiture doesn’t stop when the kids grow up. Tom, Lori, and their daughters are truly the kindest, most loving family, and we had the absolute best time celebrating them ❤️

Seven years ago I photographed Lori & her girls. Incredibly special to have them back in the studio ❤️

Portraits from their last session are still hanging on their walls. Lori knew it was time for an update before the girls schedules get busier, and the new life chapters begin.

When Lori saw this image of the three of them for the first time, she said, “ This is the dream photo I’ve always wanted of me and my girls.” Those are moments I will never take for granted, and never forget.

I’m so grateful to be trusted to capture these memories, and to watch families grow and come back through the years. Love my work so very much!

You realize one day these photos become priceless. ❤️

I photographed these three generations 4 years ago (!), and looking back at them today feels even more meaningful than it did then. The laughter, the stories, so much fun & love. It wasn’t just a portrait session, it was a day of making lasting memories.

These are the sessions I love most. Mothers, daughters, grandmothers … the connection between generations is something so beautiful to witness and preserve. And almost every time, someone says, “I’m so glad we did this now.”

I find myself wishing I had taken more photos with my own mom while I had the chance. Just more moments together that I could hold in my hands today.

There’s something so good about the real moments I capture during a session.

Today on Earth Day we talk a lot about nature, but I see that same beauty in the studio every day! It’s the split second when the wind catches your hair and you finally stop worrying, and start trusting me. That’s where the magic is ✨

A portrait is just a celebration of exactly where you are right now, and that is worthy of photographing.

I hear it all the time: “I’ll book a session when things settle down,” or “I’ll do it when I’m more prepared.” But life doesn’t wait for us to be ready. Just like the earth changes every day, so do we. And trust me, the time flies by faster every year!
