It’s always extra special when another photographer steps in front of my camera.
The wonderful Dennis Qualls came by The Studio Warehouse for some updated headshots, and I loved having the opportunity to photograph him.
Dennis is not only an amazing colleague, but someone who has generously shared so much of his photography knowledge with me over the years. I’m incredibly thankful for him, his friendship, and his willingness to share what he knows.
Photographers supporting photographers is a pretty great thing. 🤍

Kelcee absolutely nailed her branding session! 🤍
Clean, modern, confident, and professional, but still completely approachable. We created a mix of images that give her plenty of variety for everything from social media and marketing to her everyday real estate business with PPG.
And this neutral-on-neutral look? So good. Simple styling really lets her be the focus.

Moore County, I’m ready for you. 🤍

The Studio Warehouse is officially my new home for headshots, branding, products, seniors, pets, and all the creative ideas in between.
With 3,600 sq ft of studio space, multiple sets, plenty of room to create, and more possibilities than ever before, I’m so excited for this next chapter of Makana Photography LLC.

This little guy gave me a run for my money when he came to say hi at The Studio Warehouse on Friday! 😂

Meet Arliss, who is getting ready to become a breeding stud and needed some handsome new portraits to show him off.

And what better way to let those stunning colors and that face shine than a clean white backdrop? Nothing distracting, nothing competing for attention. Just Arliss in all his royal handsomeness. 👑🐾

He definitely made me work for these, but I’d say he nailed it!

Jenna absolutely nailed her session. ✨
This is exactly what I love about modern branding photography. Images that feel polished and professional, but still warm, approachable, and natural.

Your branding photos don’t have to feel overly posed or corporate. We created a beautiful mix for Jenna that gives her plenty of variety for her website, social media, marketing materials, and everything in between.

And this is one of my favorite things about shooting at The Studio Warehouse. With multiple sets and looks available in one space, we can create an entire library of images without ever leaving the studio.

A fellow German in the studio! 🇩🇪
She moved to the area not too long ago, and I had so much fun welcoming her to The Studio Warehouse for new headshots and branding images.
And in her line of work, a classic corporate headshot just wouldn’t quite fit. She works in the personal care industry, specifically with cosmetic active ingredients, an industry driven by creativity, trends, fashion, lifestyle, wellbeing, and health awareness. And, as she put it, “It is colorful ;)”
So colorful it was!
We played with bold backgrounds, personality, and a more modern approach to professional imagery. Because your headshot doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s. It should make sense for you, your personality, and the industry you’re representing.
And that orange with her red hair, green glasses, and deep green outfit? Such a fun combination.
Plus, getting to speak a little German during a session is always an added bonus for me. 🇩🇪

Loved having Linette with PPG at The Studio Warehouse for her branding session! We had so much fun creating images that feel warm, polished, approachable, and completely natural.
For realtors, great branding photos are about so much more than a traditional headshot. They should show personality, build connection, and give you a collection of images you can actually use across your website, social media, marketing, and everything in between.

This is what physician headshots can look like.
Professional doesn’t have to mean stiff or overly corporate. Modern physician headshots can show personality, friendliness and confidence, while still looking polished and professional. All in one.

These images were photographed during Pinehurst Surgical Clinic’s Physicians Retreat dinner this weekend, creating a consistent look while still giving each physician room to look like themselves.

One of my favorite setups at The Studio Warehouse: a dedicated pure white station ready to go.
Bright, clean, modern, and incredibly versatile. From headshots and branding to maternity, seniors, products, and everything in between, this setup gives me that seamless, crisp white look straight out of camera.
And the best part? It’s permanently set up, which means more shooting and less setup time.
