Spent the day at the Midland Air Show yesterday, naturally, I took my camera and captured over 3200 shots. I still miss shooting roll film; however, in this series, I processed in B&W on purpose because going to the local air when I was a kid with my dad, learning how to use his old Canon camera trying to remember everything he had taught me from the last time we were able to shoot a single roll of film and having to wait to have them processed taught me so much even at that young age. He would have loved spending the day with me yesterday, but I guess in a way, he was there. I was able to share some of my knowledge with a young man who shares the love of photography, and I’m sure the images he captured turned out amazing as well. But this series is what I set out to capture in my mind's eye. Working from my memories of photos I would study in Dad’s Time magazine, as well as those in his war history books. These plans have been restored with great detail, but the B&W finish tells a little part of their history. Enjoy, remember never miss the opportunity to share your knowledge with others.
