Sometime my auto focus doesnt quite hit the mark. And sometimes, it makes the image even better 😅. Meet one of the strays that live on my street. I dont use flash that often, but im glad I did this time.

One of the biggest issues all of us show photographers face. That and the dozens of cameras around the arena. We are a SMALL business, not a hobby. We are not walmart where we can write off a stolen item. This is something that sits heavily on my mind. Sales from this year were down over 50% from last year because of these two reasons. And its not just me, but tons of show photographers are feeling this. So please, support your official show photographers! All of us.

We are a week into October already! 😬 Im thinking about doing another calendar this year. But im going to change it up a bit. This time, instead of me choosing the images, I want you to choose them! 🤩 So if you have a photo that I took that you would like to be featured in the calendar, please comment it or message me.

They can NOT be screen shots and must have already been purchased. They can be from previous years though 😉.

If I get an overwhelming amount, we will have a voting contest and the one with the most votes will also be the cover. 🥰

On October 1st, I had the opportunity to photograph the Sanilac Women Who Care charity event, but what I walked away with was so much more than a gallery of photographs.

This event brought together multiple nonprofit organizations from right here in our community, each doing incredible work and hoping for the chance to receive grant funding for their mission.

Getting the opportunity to meet the people behind these organizations, hear their stories, and learn more about the people and causes they serve. It was eye-opening to see just how many wonderful organizations we have in our county and how much work is being done every day, often quietly behind the scenes.

A huge congratulations to Tony Szcygiel and his entire team on a very well-deserved win of a $10,000 grant! Sleep in Heavenly Peace has helped provide more than 400,000 beds to children who otherwise did not have a bed of their own to sleep in. That is an incredible impact, and it was wonderful seeing their organization recognized and supported.

While there could only be one grant recipient that evening, I don't think there was a single "losing" charity in that room. Every organization represented is giving its time, energy, resources, and heart to making life better for someone else.

I learned so much about the nonprofits serving our county, and I was truly honored to meet so many of the people behind them. Photographing the evening gave me a front-row seat to something pretty special — a room full of people who care deeply about their community and are actively doing something to make it better.

Congratulations again to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and thank you to Sanilac Women Who Care for bringing these organizations together and continuing to invest in the people doing incredible work throughout our community. ❤️

Congratulations to Ranae Perry for winning her class at the Sanilac County Open Horse Shows Big Pink Out Show and a free family photo session with me. It was an amazing turn out with over 100 horses! I was able to show as well and because of that, my focus was not to take photos. However I did take some and those images, once edited, will all be posted here and free to you guys. I cant wait to hear how much was raised for the Marlette Cancer Center.

What an amazing event I was able to attend tonight. Big thank you to the Sanilac Women Who Care for reaching out. It was amazing talking to so many non profit organizations in our county ans learning what they are about. I cant wait to get these photos out to everyone. 🥰

Is it really friday already? Spent the week setting up for the All American Quarter Horse Congress and working through MIHA photos at the same time lol. Officially set up and ready for the busy first weekend. But I am happy to say that if you did show jumping at MIHA District 14, those images are now available.
