It may be 109 degrees outside, but holiday planning has officially begun at Black & Light Studio! We’re so excited to share the first of several sets we’re creating for the 2026 season: Ralph Lauren-Inspired Holidays — a timeless Christmas scene with a warm, polished country-club feel.

We’re bringing this set to life with deep navy, hunter-green velvet, rich burgundy, traditional tartan plaid, and warm gold accents. The emerald-green velvet sofa will be surrounded by natural evergreen trees, plaid pillows, stacked tartan gifts, gold lanterns and reindeer, a sweet brand-new oversized teddy bear, and one beautiful burgundy velvet bow.

It’s cozy, nostalgic, and elevated, with plenty of creative wiggle room for photographers to make it their own vibe.

The set will be available October 1 through December 23 and is designed with holiday mini sessions in mind, including quick transitions between families and a versatile layout that photographs beautifully for children, couples, and full families.

To know Atali is to love her. If you’ve ever shot here, you’ve felt the care she pours into this space — not just in how it looks, but in how it functions, how it welcomes people in, and how thoughtfully every single detail is chosen. And if you’ve been lucky enough to shoot with Atali, you know how brilliant, funny, silly, cheeky, and creative she truly is.

Black & Light exists because Atali saw a need for a studio that could be beautiful, practical, flexible, and photographer-friendly all at once — and then, in true Atali fashion, she built it with so much heart.
